Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

Michelle Lynn Monaghan was born March 23 of 1976. She is well-known for her role as the lead in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), Gone Baby Gone (2007), Made of Honor (2008), Eagle Eye (2008), Trucker (2008), Source Code (2011), Pixels (2015) and Patriots Day (2016). Her leading role in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011) and Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018) has earned her respect. Monaghan was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actress. In addition, she acted as Sarah Lane in the drama series The Path (2016-18). Monaghan was the character Eva Geller on the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah. The show was cancelled after only one season. Monaghan was the daughter of Sharon Hammel and Robert Monaghan (a factory worker) and was born in Winthrop, Iowa. She has two older brothers, Bob and John. Monaghan is an Catholic of Irish and German descent . She graduated from East Buchanan High School, 1994. Following graduation, Monaghan moved to Chicago to study journalism and began modeling. She has also modeled in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore as well as the United States. In 1999, she had one semester left to finish her journalism degree. Then, she moved to New York to pursue an acting career. She was a model, appearing in several magazines and catalogs, before making her acting debut. Her first TV credits, as a supporting character, were on episodes of Young Americans in 2000. Her second television appearance was in Law & Order: Special Victims United in "Consent", which was aired on January 19, 2001. Monaghan also made her screen debut in Perfume the following year, playing Henrietta. Her next film, again playing a role of support and in 2002 in Unfaithful with Richard Gere and Diane Lane.
