Alona Tal

 Alona Tal, an Israeli-American performer and actress was born on the 20th of October 20th, 1983, in Herzliya, Israel. She began her career after serving in the Israeli Defense Forces. In 2003 she starred in an Israeli film. This was her big breakthrough. She also appeared in two Israeli television shows at that time. She also attempted to make singing and recorded a few songs in collaboration with Subliminal who is an Israeli rapper. Tal moved in with her sister in New York in order to take a break from her career. In the song "Party to Damascus" she performed a duet with Wyclefjean from Haiti. She also established herself as a character on American television, beginning with a regular role on the show Veronica Mars: She originally tried out for the lead role but the show's the creator Rob Thomas wrote a new character exclusively for her. Later, Tal was offered a regular part of the CBS series. Participated in two TV shows in Israel before making the move to New York. Wyclef Jean was her singer. Her first language is Hebrew. Second choice for the role as Veronica on Veronica Mars (2004).Originally she auditioned for Veronica Mars (2004) and was Rob Thomas' second choice for the title role. Thomas was so in love with her that he decided to make the role of Meg Manning for her. She was a member of The Israel Defense Forces. Both her parents are Jewish--her father is Turkish/Jewish while her mother is Polish/Jewish. She plays Adrian Monk's wife who was killed in the last episode of Monk (2002).
