Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18 1979) is an American actor from America. Her most famous work is her role as Kim Fischer on The Mentalist and as Amara the Darkness in the eleventh season of Supernatural. She also played the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played a small role in The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born 18 December 1979 in Washington, D.C. She lived in Sterling, Virginia and Jacksonville, Florida. Swallow began acting while at Stanton College Preparatory School. She also participated in amateur and professional theatre productions. Swallow graduated from the Stanton College Preparatory school located in Jacksonville in 2001. She graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies. She then went on to study to earn an MFA in Acting at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. In 2008 she made her film debut in The Lucky Ones, a military drama. She was a star in the world premieres of Donald Margulies’ play The Country House at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. She also played opposite Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkinsthe play Nice Fish at Guthrie Theatre. The actress won the Falstaff Award for best Female performer in 2010 for her portrayal of Kate in the play The Taming of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman created their own stage show, Jac N Swallow that they staged in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show revolves around the humorous adventures of the duo when they face a variety of situations with different degrees of sanity as well as dignity.
