Sofia Margarita Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara is a Colombian-American actress and presenter. Vergara was the highest-paid actress in American television between 2013 to 2020.Vergara rose to prominence while hosting two TV shows for Spanish-language television network Univision in the late 1990s. Chasing Papi (2003) was Vergara's first significant acting gig in English. She then appeared in Four Brothers (2005) and Tyler Perry's comedies Meet the Browns (2008) and Madea Goes to Jail (2009) and received an ALMA Award nomination for the latter. The first time she appeared was as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in ABC's comedy series Modern Family, for which she was awarded four Golden Globe Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards and eleven Screen Actor Guild Awards. In addition, she was a voice-over actor in the animated films Happy Feet Two (2011), Escape from Planet Earth (2013), and The Emoji Movie (2017). Vergara was also a highest-paid Hollywood actress in the year 2020. Vergara is the judge of America's Got Talent since 2020. Vergara was the daughter of an Roman Catholic family from Barranquilla. Vergara's mother Margarita Vergara was a homemaker and her father Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo was a cattle rancher. The nickname she received was "Toti" by her siblings, as well as a number of cousins. Vergara was a first-year student at National University of Colombia in dentistry. After that, she left for two years to pursue modeling opportunities and show business.
