Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel SOFER is an American actress
from the United States. Her roles include daytime television guests, occasional
guest performances and movies made for TV. Sofer was recognized with a Daytime
Emmy Award by CBS in 1995 for playing Lois Cerullo, the role she played in the
soap opera General Hospital. She has been portraying Quinn Fuller since 2013 on
CBS the soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was born in Arcadia,
California, the daughter of Susan Sofer, a psychology professor as well as Martin
Sofer, a Conservative rabbi. The family moved later to Pittsburgh in
Pennsylvania. Then, she moved together with her father David, to Teaneck, New
Jersey in 1970. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years
old. They resided in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father directed the Beth
Samuels Jewish Center. She later attended the Frisch School, a coeducational
Mordern Orthodox Jewish high school in Paramus, New Jersey. Sofer resided in
North Bergen, New Jersey which was where her father served as Rabbi of the
synagogue Temple Beth El. After graduation from North Bergen High School in
1998, she continued her education at Montclair State College. Sofer began her
career as Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. Her first appearance was in
1993 as a manager of an ensemble. But her first big role was as Rocky McKenzie
in the daytime soap show Loving (1988-91). Sofer is perhaps best known for her
character Lois Cerullo on General Hospital (December 15 1993 - September 24
1996). In the following years, she was an actor on the show (February 7-17 1997
between September 30th and October 2, 1997). In 1995, Sofer won a Daytime Emmy
Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal as
Lois. Sofer was cast in CBS' soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful as Quinn
Fuller, a role she had just created. The premiere episode premiered in July
2013. Sofer has been a guest cast member or guest star in a assortment of
prominent prime-time shows, such as Seinfeld and Melrose Place. She also
appeared in The Chronicle, Ed and Friends. The first episode aired on July 12.
